Head of Open Research and interim cOAlition S Coordinator of the Wellcome Trust, Kiley has been instrumental in advocating for open access to scholarly publications.  An example is the recent agreement by the journal Lancet to comply with Plan S.  (Kiley, 2019) The perspective of the Wellcome Trust in particular as a major funder of research is valuable for informing U.S. perspectives.
